Support Trans Youth
It’s not a radical thing to say
Just let them live their lives
In their own unique way

If you can know your gender
On a core-deep level
Then why can’t trans kids?
What makes you so special

Why is it your mission
To deny trans youth love and care
Are you really that hateful?
What makes you so scared?

Trans youth are not a threat
To you or your life
But your hatred is a threat
To keeping them alive

Because gender affirming care
Keeps trans youth breathing
And I thought you were all about
Keeping all children’s hearts beating

So use their pronouns
And call them by the right name
Affirm the gender they declare
Support them in this way

Allow kids to explore gender
Give them room to grow
Because your support matters
More than you know

Just one accepting adult
Can reduce a life-ending attempt
In LGBTQ youth
By a whole 40 percent

With statistics like this
It’s obvious the right thing to do
Let me be crystal clear
